  • First major shipment of 1,000 electric Geely EX5 SUVs arrives in the UK
  • Follows strong pre-orders and consumer interest since brand launch
  • Customer deliveries begin immediately through a growing national retail network
  • Brand confirms further shipments and dealership expansion to meet demand

Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, 21 November 2025: The first major shipment of Geely Auto vehicles has arrived on British shores. Over 1,000 units of the electric Geely EX5 compact SUV are now in the UK just weeks after the brand’s official launch in October.

It marks a significant milestone for Geely Auto in the UK and highlights the momentum since launching in late October. The brand has seen strong consumer response, with pre-orders far exceeding projections and rising levels of website traffic.

The first 1,000 Geely EX5 vehicles will be distributed through the brand’s nationwide retail network of 25 franchised dealerships, with customer deliveries beginning immediately.

To meet growing demand, Geely Auto UK plans to expand its retail footprint from 25 dealerships at launch to 50 by the end of 2025, with a target of 100 nationwide by 2026.

The Geely EX5 is a fully electric, five-seat compact SUV engineered to make electric mobility practical, stylish and attainable. Built on Geely’s advanced Global Intelligent New Energy Architecture (GEA), the Geely EX5 offers a 267-mile WLTP range (full charge), 160 kW DC fast-charging from 30–80% in just 20 minutes, and a recommended starting price of £31,990 OTR. Every model comes with a high specification as standard, including a 15.4-inch touchscreen, AI voice control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) functionality, and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Three trims are available, the SE, Pro, and Max. Each offering strong levels of comfort, technology and safety. A Five-Star Euro NCAP safety rating and Geely’s eight-layer battery protection system reinforce the brand’s commitment to occupant and pedestrian safety.

Competitive finance and ownership packages have also contributed to fast uptake. Retail customers benefit from representative PCP rates from 3.9% APR and a Geely funded EV Grant (worth up to £3,750 depending on trim), along with a choice between a reduced-cost Andersen home charger or £500 Octopus Electroverse charging credit.

The arrival of this first shipment underlines Geely Auto’s long-term commitment to the UK, one of the brand’s key European markets.
